You may complain about many of the things that happen in your life, but I would like to show you a new perspective. If you believe that we live in a world of cause and effect then in fact nothing happens in a vacuum. There was a chain of events that occurred that brought about the situation and just like links in a chain there was a decision that could have avoided the problem.

Instead of complaining, focus your energy on learning from the event. Imagine you had a math test and continuously answered 2×2=5. Well you would be wrong. Complaining about the answer with the teacher, would not help the situation. So it is with life. If things are going wrong in your life, you must learn what is making it wrong and correct it. Indeed, in every case we are in complete control over our lives. We only need to correct ourselves and we could pull out of it.

At this stage many people may point to another person in there lives and say they are the source of their frustration. Well the world is full of special and unique people. You still could be in total control, but first you have to believe it. Ninety-eight percent of the time there is something you can do to remedy or avoid the situation. The other two percent of the time, you genuinely ran into a force of nature that will not budge. In this case, would you complain that the sun rises every day? No, so accept this person as whom they are and live your life around them. If you still think you can change that person, accept it as you mission and understand the consequences of the decision. However, don’t complain about a situation you willingly accepted.

Einstein once said that the definition of insanity is doing the same things over and over and expecting different results. So I ask you look over the things you are struggling with and think about what you can do different. Most times it is just our attitude that holds us back from true happiness. Your actions may be text-book. However your attitude may be the missing ingredient. Just like baking a cake, all the ingredients have to be there in direct proportion for you to get the best results.

Once you understand and believe this fundamental concept, you will see the world completely differently. You will start to weigh your decisions more. You will start to take control of you attitude and thus yourself…and thus you will take control of your life and true happiness will be yours!
