Many times when we get angry at something or somebody, it is often is because we lack a perspective or clarity…not the other way around. It is so easy to call someone “stupid” or blame an outside force for a problem. But in all actuality, what do you have control over to change? The other person or yourself? If you focus more what you can do to make the situation acceptable, you will find that your relationships and what some people refer to as “luck” changes for the best.
I like to use the analogy of colors to explain this concept since it fits so well into the imagination. Have you ever heard two people arguing and say “well I see the world in black and white” and the other may say “no it is shades of gray.” Well they are both lacking perspective. The color spectrum, and thus clarity, is only defined by the amount of detail you can see.
Below we have the same pictures at different levels of clarity. Notice that as you increase the number of colors the picture only becomes clearer.

How the world looks in Black & White only 2 colors

How the world looks using 256 colors

How the world looks using 16 million colors
I asked what changed in the pictures above?…Did the world change or did your perspective change? Both did, but the world changed because your perspective changed. This is further proof that you are complete control of solving a problem. Because clarity comes from understanding. Don’t block understanding someone’s perspective…Learn from their perspective and increase your own spectrum. As you do you will see the picture you are seeing come into finer detail. When you do, you can not help but be amazed of how rich and wonderful the world truly is. As demonstrated with the 2 color photo, what would looked like spilt paint is really a beautiful skyline.
So ask yourself “How Many Colors Do You See the World In?” Increase your clarity and in turn increase your happiness!
