| Just saw a powerful film that was recently featured on Oprah. Some of the best authors and speakers came together to layout this film and explain how you can start changing your life today. Amazingly, they noticed that same pattern in history that sparked my interest in this discovery. Some of the greatest achievers in history, knew how to harness the power of their minds to bring about their dreams.
One of the speakers in particular, made me think of my progress. I bought a book by Joe Vitale AKA Mr. Fire. I purchased his book as a combo deal on Amazon, when I first started studying the Law of Attraction. At the time, it was an extra $3 and he had many glowing reviews. I remember reading the first few pages and turning to my wife in bed and saying this guy is a kook…He says, you can get a new car, just by dreaming about it. I threw the book on the night stand an there it sat for about 6 months. Then through another technique that Joe spoke about–Gratitude–I started seeing unbelievable results. Nothing short of miracles started appearing in my life. So I picked up the book and finished it. I have to admit still that the concepts sound unbelievable, but I am living proof that they do in fact work. The Secret has some incredible points and some, to the first timer, are down-right unbelievable. But I find, sitting back and watching this movie either a great starting point or a needed refresher. |
Help Yourself to Life!
Just like they tell you on the air plane “Secure your own air mask, before helping others” you have to take care of yourself first and foremost in life. I am not being selfish here, but think of it as you actually have to be around to help the people you care about. If you are second place, you will never find time to take care of yourself. You will constantly say…I’ll do it tomorrow. Just like any saving program, put that time aside for yourself first before you budget for anything else.

Listen to yourself!
We spend so much time focusing in on what is happening on the outside that we rarely listen to what is going on in the inside. The outside world is only a reflection of what is happening to you on the inside. Don’t believe me…try listening to yourself. Are you saying things like, “I am so stupid!” every time something bad happens? How about my old favorite, “This always happens to me!” Well let me let you in on a little secret…you are always ab-so-lute-ly right!

Stop Complaining!
Take that advice from a once constant complainer. I use to brag that I was “put on this earth to point out what was wrong.” That attitude made me an easy target for depression and sickness. I also had terrible migraine headaches and gained about 20 extra pounds. I was taken in for chest pains once and started developing high blood pressure all before the age of 32.

Sounds like an absurd question, but I believe people underestimate the effects of happiness in our own lives. Being happy may actually effect what is happening to you in your life, the life of your loved ones and most importantly your own body and the health of people around you.
I am sure each and everyone of have experienced a “slump” in our lives, where it seems nothing could go right. I hope you have also experience a time when you seemed to be “on,” maybe upon meeting a new love or playing well in an game. Well you may be in more control than you thought. It is not a coincidence, that these events happened to be around each other. As you dig deeper you will see that there is no such thing as coincidences at all.
