Watching the birth of my son recently gave me great pause and really demonstrated the enormous blessing that life really is. But most of all, it has fascinated me to new levels of thinking. I find myself pondering….What are a baby’s thoughts? It may seem like a comical question to ask, but I think it is a glimpse at the fundamental of life itself and maybe even a key to boundless energy to be who we thrive to be.

My son was born about 3 weeks early so his little body practically fit in my one hand. As I held him in total amazement, you cannot help but notice life spring forth. Within moments he opened his eyes and started flailing his tiny arms and legs. I was caught completely off guard not expecting his little blue eyes to lock on mine so early. I was not really sure what to expect this being my first child, but I was really thinking there would be a scared, screaming infant in terror of this new dramatically different world. Here he is warm and comfortable in his mother’s quiet womb and within a moment notice he is pulled out into a cold, loud, chaotic world. What could have been going through his mind? If his face could say anything at the time, he was more calm than me.

Just saw a powerful film that was recently featured on Oprah. Some of the best authors and speakers came together to layout this film and explain how you can start changing your life today. Amazingly, they noticed that same pattern in history that sparked my interest in this discovery. Some of the greatest achievers in history, knew how to harness the power of their minds to bring about their dreams.

One of the speakers in particular, made me think of my progress. I bought a book by Joe Vitale AKA Mr. Fire. I purchased his book as a combo deal on Amazon, when I first started studying the Law of Attraction. At the time, it was an extra $3 and he had many glowing reviews. I remember reading the first few pages and turning to my wife in bed and saying this guy is a kook…He says, you can get a new car, just by dreaming about it. I threw the book on the night stand an there it sat for about 6 months.

Then through another technique that Joe spoke about–Gratitude–I started seeing unbelievable results. Nothing short of miracles started appearing in my life. So I picked up the book and finished it. I have to admit still that the concepts sound unbelievable, but I am living proof that they do in fact work.

The Secret has some incredible points and some, to the first timer, are down-right unbelievable. But I find, sitting back and watching this movie either a great starting point or a needed refresher.

Before I got my first motorcycle, I attended a mandatory safety school that the military required for you to ride a motorcycle on the base. At the time, I never knew how that class might help me. I was riding dirt bikes and all terrain vehicles since I was kid so I walked in thinking it would be a huge waste of time. But there was one statement that the instructor nailed into our heads. Not only did it save my life countless numbers of times, but it also has an impact on everything else we all do.

He said over and over…”You will always go in the direction that you are looking….So don’t look down, because that is where you will go.”

Many times when we get angry at something or somebody, it is often is because we lack a perspective or clarity…not the other way around. It is so easy to call someone “stupid” or blame an outside force for a problem. But in all actuality, what do you have control over to change? The other person or yourself? If you focus more what you can do to make the situation acceptable, you will find that your relationships and what some people refer to as “luck” changes for the best.

I was recently contacted by an amazing author and psychologist named Ineke Van Lint from Luxembourg. She has a great website at www.enthousiasme.info and I have asked her to submit one of her articles so you can get an idea of your writings. If you like it, please visit her website and learn more. I hope her courses may be a help to the audience.
Also, I would appreciate your feedback if you enjoy having other authors featured on this site.

Enjoy,

Nothing seems to stop people from achieving true happiness more than the simple phrase “I can’t.” Being guilty of saying it quite often myself, I look back and see how I erected a paper thin wall up every time there was something I thought I wanted, but in fact did not really want to do.

One day a good friend said a statement that hit me right between the eyes. If you want something, you’ll do it…If you don’t, you’ll make an excuse.

Self confidence is always the determining factor in success. Most importantly, most people think they will get confidence after the accomplishment…when you actually need it before you accomplish.

Bluntly stated if you are not confident in your own success, who do you think will have that confidence for you? Who will give you the challenge when they need to be assured of success? Will they take a chance on you? They will if you are confident. That is because confident people still make mistakes, but more importantly they don’t give up.
